Six Sigma
6-Sigma has its foundations in reducing the variation of a process so that a maximum of the process outputs fall within the customer specification limits. Sigma measures variation in a process or product against internal or external customer requirements. The greater the Sigma level, the lower the level of variation in a product or process. Lower levels of variation translate to higher levels of quality or performance.
The Six Sigma approach is built around the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control) process.

In association with the Lean Toolset (typically, Lean would be used to remove non value-adding processes, and Six Sigma to eliminate the variability from the remaining processes), the Six Sigma approach can vastly improve the reliability of your business processes.
